Join photographer Robert Fairer for special virtual artist talk and first look at his new exhibition Backstage Pass: Dior, Galliano, Jacobs and McQueen at SCAD FASH. Backstage Pass captures the zeitgeist of the turn of the 21st Century, an era of artistic zenith in runway show production by Dior, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen. Fairer had the foresight to go behind the curtain at a time when backstage fashion photography was in its infancy, and introduced a new, exclusive perspective on the way runway shows were seen. Vogue recognized his talent and for over a decade he covered womenswear collections off-stage for the magazine. Fairer’s work celebrates the creative talent that contributes to the magic of the shows.

British photographer Robert Fairer worked exclusively for Vogue behind the scenes for over a decade. Beginning his career at Elle UK in the mid 1990s, then Harper’s Bazaar and finally at Vogue, he covered the fashion zeitgeist of supermodel, designer and fashion excess from 1993-2011.
