'Backstage Pass,' an exhibition of works by photographer Robert Fairer, captures the zeitgeist of the turn of the 21st Century, an era of artistic zenith in runway show production by Dior, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen. Fairer had the foresight to go behind the curtain at a time when backstage fashion photography was in its infancy, and introduced a new, exclusive perspective on the way runway shows were seen. Vogue recognized his talent and for over a decade he covered womenswear collections off-stage for the magazine. Fairer’s work celebrates the creative talent that contribute to the magic of the shows. This is Fairer’s first museum exhibition.
