Atlanta Photography Group presents Selects, its annual feature exhibition, with dynamic photographic works selected by this year’s prominent guest curator, Catherine Couturier, the owner and director of Catherine Couturier Gallery. Selects is known for featuring a distinguished level of nationally recognized and emerging artists who represent a wide range of photographic mediums and styles.

"Endless Summer" is themed around the first summer coming out of the pandemic. We аre looking for images that will reflect how people аre feeling and what they will do first as we enter a summer where we can now travel, gather and perhaps assess trauma. APG will create a Zine that will accompany this exhibition.
Jean Dykstra, editor of photograph magazine & independent photo critic, joins APG as the Juror for “Endless Summer”. Ms. Dykstra will select a variety of photographic works for the exhibition and Zine.

Catherine Couturier is the owner and director of Catherine Couturier Gallery. Upon its inception, the gallery quickly evolved into the premier photography gallery in Houston and sits at the center of Gallery Row. Couturier reviews portfolios for organizations and festivals such as Photo Nola, Texas Photographic Society, and FotoFest, is a juror for Critical Mass, serves on the advisory council of Houston Center for Photography, and give lectures to artists and collectors alike on a myriad of subjects related to the field of fine art photography. The gallery has been a member of AIPAD (Association of Photography Art Dealers) since 1998, the most prestigious institute of its kind in the world. Catherine Couturier Gallery specializes in classic 20th century photography and contemporary work of the highest quality and also sells a wide range of rare and vintage books and publications by many of today’s best-known contemporary artists. The Catherine Couturier Gallery is committed to excellence with a dedication to the medium in all its forms, with the goal to showcase the best fine art photography available.

You are Here is a part of Slow Exposures.
Slow Exposures is themed around a sense of searching and the images reflect the idea of “place” throughout the rural American South. The exhibition will be on-site in Zebulon, GA in a historical building that formally housed the town’s first newspaper. This is a four-day event that hosts photographic art collectors, artists and visitors worldwide.
Our esteemed Juror is Brian Piper, PhD. He is the Assistant Curator of Photography at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA).
