The Breman Museum

Featuring work by: John Gutmann

The Breman Museum, in collaboration with Lumière gallery, announces the exhibition Culture Shock: Photography by John Gutmann. Culture Shock focuses on an early period of creative flowering for the Jewish photographer, a German refugee who arrived in the U.S. during the Great Depression. Continuing through January 2, 2022, the exhibition showcases over 60 vivid images of American popular culture that Gutmann captured as only an outsider could.

Culture Shock: is currently on view until January 2, 2022 at The Breman Museum. The museum is open on Sundays from 11AM - 4PM. Visitors must pre-purchase tickets on the Breman website, thebreman.org.
