Join us online for this virtual lecture Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 5 to 6:15 p.m. to explore the art and science of analog photography. Georgia State faculty and photographer Jeremy Bolen will investigate using material devices to document the world around us in an age when so much of life is lived through screens and in virtual spaces. This event will be streamed through the BlueJeans Events platform.
This event is part of Longing for Analog, a celebration of analog photos and the physical worlds we’ve missed. Longing for Analog is a 2021-2022 Academic Year collaboration between Georgia Tech Library’s retroTECH unit and the public programming team.
Online: Artist's Talk Oct 19 5:00 PM - 6:15 PM
This artist's talk is part of Longing for Analog, a AY2021-2022 collaboration between Georgia Tech Library’s retroTECH unit and the public programming team. So much of life in 2020-2021 has been lived through screens and in virtual spaces, our connections mediated by digital devices, so we're planning a series of events around our retro technology collection at the Georgia Tech Library. One event in this collaboration is an artist's talk with photographer Jeremy Bolen to explore the art and science of analog photography, as well as to discuss his own practice and work.
